A shop opened in 1977, never closed since.

Hiram, Founder Greene NY · 1977

Hiram opened a small electronics shop in Greene, New York in 1977. The shop assembled boards by hand for local industry. The work was careful, the standard was high, and the customers came back.

Forty-nine years later the building is bigger, the lines are automated, and the family is still here. Three SMT lines run every shift. MIRTEC AOI inspects every panel. A daily kaizen meeting closes the loop on yield and workmanship before the floor opens.

The company has never been bought, sold, or moved offshore. The address is the same. The discipline is the same. What changed is the equipment list and the certifications stack.

04 / Practice

How the shop runs.

  1. 01 Daily kaizen Production and quality meet every morning before the floor opens. Yield, defects, and corrective actions are reviewed at the line, by the people running it.
  2. 02 Traceability by lot Component lots, reflow profiles, AOI results, and test data are recorded against every build. A serial number returns its history in full.
  3. 03 Workmanship to IPC Class 2 or Class 3 Operators are trained and re-certified against IPC-A-610. Solder joints, cleanliness, and rework are judged against the customer's specified class, never relaxed.
  4. 04 Inspection on every run Automated solder paste inspection after print, MIRTEC AOI after reflow. No board leaves SMT without being photographed and measured.
  5. 05 Domestic supply, single building Quote, kit, build, test, and ship from one floor in Greene, New York. No offshore handoffs, no lost weeks at the freight forwarder.
  6. 06 Family ownership Held by the founding family since 1977. Decisions are made in the building, by the people responsible for the next shift.
